Island Park for Mason's Baptism!

This weekend we went up to Island Park for Mason's baptism! Everyone in the Haycock Fam has been baptized in the Snake River up there, and little Mason was not deterred by the cold water temperature in the river. We were so proud of him! :)
It was so fun! We ate candy, played games, made invitations, shot guns, ate yummy food, & tried to stay warm! Curry and Mason both had their birthday on Saturday, so we had a fun night of presents and cheese cake. Happy Birthday!
Thanks for the fun trip, everyone!

Gathering around the candy :)

It was a wee bit cold when we arrived, so Colter was warming his feet by the heater

I caught Colter in the woods staring at his feet, pursing his lips, & looking cool :)

Brrr! Go, Mase!
(Sorry Bill, you get no credit) - Okay fine...way to go, Bill :)

On the dock :)

We let Caddy (15 yrs old) drive back to the cabin! Keep working on those turns, Cad! Slow brake...easy turn...gas... Ha ha just kidding, you were awesome!

Colter chose to stay warm by riding outside the car
What is a cabin trip without a little Nintendo DS?

We stopped on the way home to check out the river. Yes, the sun was shining right in our eyes!

Incredible!

Well, we've been married for 14 months now, and tonight we did our first load of laundry in our own place! It was incredible. We've been mooching off our parents, using their washer and dryer each Sunday when we'd go up for dinner (more mooching), but now we finally have our own! Technically the washer belongs to Cody, and the only reason we have a dryer is because Chiara and Bill bought a new one, and we were kind enough to take it off their hands. It is so nice!

The lovely laundry room, now complete with washer and dryer :)

Yay!

Twilight

Yes, we're Twilight fans. We went to see a movie last night (Eagle Eye, good thriller, a little loud in the theater - but we recommend it) and we noticed that Twilight tickets were available already! We looked at each other for a minute, then decided we needed to buy some ha ha. We were with Dave and Lindsey, and they bought some, too! We have a date night planned! I don't think we've ever known what we'd be doing Saturday night in two weeks ha ha. Dave was SUPER excited because he loves the Twilight books! (Dave is not excited at all - he's never read them)

Hopefully the movie doesn't stink!

Crunch! - And Woohoo!

Well, let's start with the bad news and work up to the good news!

Bad news: While I was working in Park City last week, I was unfortunately backed-into by an 18-year old girl. I happened to be in the car (which was parked), and when I saw her coming I honked several times, but to no avail. I thought to myself as she inched closer and closer "No no no no no!" Then....CRUNCH! Lucky for her though, she missed hitting the back door by millimeters! So we have to get that fixed this week :)

This little shiner's gonna cost about $1100 to fix. Cars are so expensive.

It's right above the back right tire.

Now for the good news! We got a new car! As I'm sure all of you know because you read this blog so religiously, the '92 Acura I'd been driving died during the summer. Because of that, we have been in need of another vehicle. We decided to get a Subaru because they are awesome in the snow. We went with the Impreza model so as to be cool, and so far we really like it!

This isn't exactly what it looks like, but it's pretty close.

This is the best picture we have so far...

Pumpkin Carving!

Last night we went to my parents' house to carve pumpkins! We had a great time :)

Colter's sweet carving skills on display :)

Afterwards out on the porch. Mine is just a big 'H' with stars around it :)

Rhett & Karla. Rhett is a master with anything, & Karl was doing her classic 'star' pumpkin, which I sortof copied :)

The finished products! Colter's skull & cross bones, Sarah's pumpkin face, "Court + Kate", my big "H" with stars, Karla's stars, and Rhett's sweet...uh, skeleton face thing? Can't think of the right word :)

Kate, Mom, & Court. Court works at the Home Depot, by the way (they don't mind the princess slippers on the job).

Better Late Than Never

I am aware that we got married 14 months ago, but what you may not be aware of is that we weren't able to purchase our wedding picture DVD until now. We initially didn't order it as part of our 'wedding picture package,' but we decided we wanted them, so here are a few of the gems :) Enjoy!

Rock Band

Last night we had some friends over to play rock band (thanks for providing it, Bruce & Jillian!) I don't know about everyone else, but I had a great time!
